PT Fundraising & Campaigns Officer, 28 hrs spread over 4/5 days

£26,000-£30,000 pro rata, doe.

Based in South Wimbledon office OR home working with regular meetings in London or the South East

Adventure Ashram is a small but mighty charity founded by a group of adventurers. Our current focus is in supporting anti-trafficking, health and education grassroots projects in India, and in 2020 we are looking to expand our reach to Southeast Asia. We work closely with our local partners, supporting them with funding, project implementation and capacity building, and have supported thousands of survivors of human trafficking and helped hundreds of vulnerable children access education and ongoing healthcare.

Our UK operations focus heavily on fundraising and events. We also run global campaigns and help facilitate a range of exciting overseas adventures. We are looking for an experienced and committed Fundraiser & Campaigns Officer to help deliver our growth strategy and amplify our impact. Main responsibilities of the role:

Campaigns & events

-Support the CEO with the delivery of annual external facing campaigns including outreach, communications, supporter journeys & partnerships/sponsorships

-Manage a portfolio of events & appeals as agreed with the CEO

-Manage promotions, bookings, communications and donations for overseas adventures

-Manage budgets and finances for individual campaigns, appeals and events

 

Corporate Partnerships

-Work with the CEO in identifying, researching and developing new corporate relationships

-Prepare high standard narrative/financial proposals and reports

-Manage and cultivate ongoing partnerships

 

Donor care & stewardship

-With support from the Education Sponsorship Volunteer & the CEO oversee and further develop the charity’s individual giving programme

-Maintain high standards of donor care within all Individual Giving activity

-Manage relationships with external fundraisers and supporters, including those supporting AA via sponsored events and challenges

 

Communications

-Create content, design and distribute online newsletters

-Create an updated social media strategy and maintain AA’s social media presence

-Update and maintain the organisation’s website

-Produce compelling donor focused, audience tailored, communications and fundraising materials

 

General

-Attend and represent Adventure Ashram in external and internal events and meetings where relevant (occasional travel included)

-Provide verbal and written reports to the CEO and the Trustee board

-Update and maintain the AA database

 

 

Person specification

You will be a highly proactive and independent self-starter with experience in small charities and commitment to international development. You’re a brilliant communicator with excellent written skills and an eye for high-quality, compelling supporter focused content.

You’re an experienced fundraiser with a track record of managing corporate partnerships and delivering fundraising campaigns. Sympathy with our charitable aims is a must and you need to be confident working towards individual and organisational fundraising targets.
