We are seeking an experienced and proactive Volunteer Manager to lead the development, coordination, and growth of our volunteer programme supporting unpaid carers (both adults and young carers).
This role will focus on recruiting, training, and supporting a diverse volunteer base, including members of the public, college students, and student social workers to deliver a range of support across our services. Alongside this, the Volunteer Manager will play a key role in building internal capacity by equipping staff with the skills and confidence to effectively support volunteers in their roles. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and strengthen a volunteer offer that has real impact for carers in our community.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement:
- Develop and deliver effective volunteer recruitment strategies
- Promote volunteering opportunities through outreach, partnerships, and campaigns
- Build relationships with colleges, universities, and community organisations to attract volunteers
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including onboarding and safer recruitment checks
Volunteer Training & Development:
- Design and deliver induction and training programmes for volunteers
- Ensure volunteers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for their roles
- Support student placements (e.g. social work students) to meet learning objectives
Volunteer Supervision & Support:
- Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and pastoral support to volunteers
- Monitor volunteer wellbeing, performance, and development
- Address any issues or concerns in a timely and supportive manner
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and rewarding volunteer experience
Supporting Staff to Work with Volunteers:
- Train and support internal staff to effectively supervise and work alongside volunteers
- Develop guidance, tools, and best practice resources for staff
- Promote a culture where volunteering is valued and embedded across the organisation
Quality, Safeguarding & Compliance:
- Ensure all volunteering activity is safe, ethical, and compliant with organisational policies
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activity and engagement
- Support safeguarding processes and ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities
Service Development:
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the volunteer programme
- Gather feedback from volunteers, staff, and service users to inform improvements
- Support reporting on volunteer impact and outcomes

Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Coordination:

What will I be doing?

Professional development delivery: Deliver evidence-based CPD, mentoring, and coaching to support practitioners, particularly early-career and out-of-field teachers, to build subject knowledge and confidence in teaching physics in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
Equity and inclusion: Contribute to equity-focused interventions that explore and address systemic and school-level barriers to post-16 physics participation, including unconscious bias and science capital gaps.
Monitoring and reporting: Track and evaluate programme delivery, capturing data on participation, feedback, outcomes, and impact. Contribute to quarterly monitoring reports and support external evaluation.
Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools in Wales, education stakeholders, and fellow partners. Represent the IOP in local networks and act as a regional champion for physics education.

This role will support people who are newly diagnosed through Emergency Department opt-out testing, people who are returning to HIV care, and people who may need extra support to stay connected to treatment and services. We are looking for motivated, value-driven advocates to join a new, innovative community-based Gender-Based Abuse service in Southwark. This is not a traditional domestic abuse support role. You will support people of all genders affected by gender-based abuse and help shape a service built around prevention, creativity, and community voice. The ethos of the service is to ensure that we are front facing and out in the community to meet clients in spaces that are safe and accessible, as well as our offices.
The Role
We are looking for three people in total:
2 x IGVAs: You will work directly with people in community settings, carrying out risk and needs assessments, creating safety plans, and using trauma-informed and coaching approaches. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team working in new and flexible ways.
1 x ISVA: You will work with individuals impacted by sexual abuse and VAWG.
As this is a community-based role, candidates will need to be flexible, confident working across different settings, and understand how to be engaging and approachable.
About You

Experience in VAWG, domestic abuse, sexual violence, safeguarding, or working with young people is helpful, but your mindset, values, and reliability matter most. Full training and support will be provided.

Accommodation Support Worker(Future Roots 2 Project)
Salary Banding: £28,893 per annum with potential to progress through salary band. Plus additional payment for overnight shifts on occasion. (£85 per night shift required / £50 per on call shift)

Location:Hatfield, Hertfordshire, but will include travel across hertfordshire and cover of future roots 1 in WGC when required - Candidates must have a full driving license and use of own vehicle for business purposes.

About the service
Future Roots Hatfield provides supported accommodation for six young people. The service focuses on developing the practical, emotional and life skills needed for independent living, within a safe, respectful and homely environment.
We’re looking for a Supported Accommodation Worker to support residents on their journey towards independence. The role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the house, which may include changes to working patterns and very occasional paid sleep-in shifts.
Future Roots Hatfield is a welcoming, supported home for up to six young people. We focus on helping them build the practical skills, confidence and resilience they need to live independently.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Supported Accommodation Worker to join our team and play a key role in helping young people move towards independence.
This is a flexible role that adapts to the needs of the home, including occasional changes to working patterns and very occasional paid sleep-in shifts.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll have a varied and meaningful role, including:
- Managing a diverse caseload with different needs and priorities
- Building trusting, professional relationships with young people
- Delivering 1:1 and group sessions focused on independent living skills, such as:
- Understanding rights and responsibilities
- Setting boundaries and making decisions
- Health and wellbeing
- Education, employment and volunteering
- Budgeting, rent and managing money
- Everyday practical living skills
- Supporting the screening and interview process for new residents
- Facilitating group activities and workshops
- Responding to breaches of house rules in line with policies
- Identifying and managing risk, including safeguarding concerns
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent support
- Liaising with external agencies and partners
- Keeping accurate and timely records
- Taking part in the on-call rota (after probation)
- Supporting occasional paid sleep-in shifts

Experience in supported accommodation or the voluntary sector is helpful, but not essential—we value attitude, values and potential just as much.
