Safeguarding Administrator – Service Delivery
Full Time – 35 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends
Salary: £24,780 - £25,415, depending upon skills and experience
The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit an experienced administrator to support the Safeguarding Service Delivery Manager in the delivery of training, safeguarding dashboard delivery and developing Parish Safeguarding Officers support network.
The successful candidate will have proven administrative competence, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. They will be able to work independently in handling a diverse workload and in keeping to deadlines.
You will be based at Church House, Daresbury Business Park, Daresbury WA4 4GE with the option to work up to 40% at home.

Position: Supporter Services Administrator
Location: Swindon/hybrid
Hours: Part time, 0.6 FTE, 22.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum pro rata

The Role
In this role, you'll ensure supporters, volunteers and staff receive timely and effective support. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining the database and processing supporter donations, including direct debits, standing orders and bank payment files, with the utmost accuracy and adherence to GDPR policies.
Your main responsibilities will include entering new supporter information into the database, maintaining supporter records, reconciling donations and managing data imports.
You'll also process Gift Aid declarations and claims, handle direct debits, standing orders and other payments, and maintain subscription schemes. Additionally, you'll assist in handling incoming mail, processing orders and addressing complaints and feedback with empathy and professionalism.

About You
You will have administrative experience preferably within a supporter or customer finance environment, managing Gift Aid is desirable.

The Role
In this role, you will provide a comprehensive, high-quality secretariat service, particularly to the Bishop’s Council, which acts as the Board of Directors of the Oxford Diocesan Board of Finance (income £28M, assets £520m, over 100 staff) and oversees a wide range of activity.
The Diocese is one of the largest in the Church of England covering the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire with a thousand parishes, church schools and chaplaincies. It is active in environmental action, addressing poverty and inequality, establishing new congregations and much more.
You will ensure that all Board and Committee meetings are scheduled and organised, agendas created, minutes recorded, and action lists monitored; relevant policies are in place and statutory registers are maintained.
You will be required to work occasional evenings (currently 1 each in May and December) and Saturdays (1 each in March, June, and November).
About You
You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work with her - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins the work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.
To be successful in this role you will be an initiative-taker with strong administrative, governance support and minute-taking experience and ideally have previously worked with senior stakeholders. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, accuracy, and diligence, especially in written work and be highly organised. You will also be flexible and adaptable to changing work demands.
