We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisors to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.
What you will do:
Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.
Work on a 7-day shift system
Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding.
Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise.
Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.
To be successful in this role you will have:
a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline.
previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health.
a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people.
experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels.
the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service.
Salary: £30,272 per annum (Scale point 24) progressing by increments to £33,594 per annum (Scale point 28), based on 33 hours per week. As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.
Hours: Various shift patterns available (16.5 hours, 25 hours & 33 hours per week contracts)
Working arrangements: This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:45am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.

About the role
You will work in the community as part of a multidisciplinary team offering proactive, holistic care and support working within Worcestershire.
Our local Dementia adviser provides a highly responsive and individualised information, signposting, and referral service to people affected by dementia.
You will:
- Provide personalised support to people with dementia, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, to live independently, to improve their health outcomes and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
- Connect people with dementia into their community networks to enable them to live the lives they choose, enhancing and preserving their wellbeing.
- Co-produce a simple personalised support plan to address the person with dementia’s health and wellbeing needs by introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
- Enable people living with dementia to decide what they want to do, where they want to meet and how they want to run their groups and keep in touch.
- Create opportunities for people with dementia to meet other people with dementia.
- Assist people with dementia and their carers in identifying their needs, providing information and guidance to help maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
- Support the introduction of groups and activities for people living with dementia.
- Run dementia friends sessions - which support carers with dementia knowledge, sharing strategies, hints and tips, linking together for future peer support.
- Manage and prioritise own caseload, in accordance with the health and wellbeing needs of their population and where required and as appropriate, refer people with dementia back to other health professionals.
- Support our groups across Worcestershire, which include, carers’ Information and Support Programme and Singing for the Brain.

• Have the ability and means to be able travel independently

Job title: Employment Adviser
Location: Hybrid, contracted to work at our Birmingham office at least 2 days a week
Salary: £24,000 - £26,500

Purpose of the role:
We are looking for candidates with experience of supporting individuals with barriers to work into paid employment. Within this role you will carry a significant responsibility, managing a caseload of clients from a refugee background and supporting them in securing meaningful employment, training, and education opportunities.
You will provide one-to-one personalised support, delivering quality Information Advice and Guidance (IAG), alongside ongoing support to ensure your clients have all the skills they need to get into work. This involves working with clients to produce individual action plans with clear goals and actions to overcome identified needs and barriers and provide a clear pathway towards the labour market.
You will work with clients online and by phone, as well as in person to monitor their progress towards their goals. Complementary support will be delivered through our volunteers who are trained in delivering employment advice, and you will book weekly appointments for clients, allocating time slots according to availability and the volunteer’s specialty.
You will also work with specialist referral partners to support clients to overcome complex barriers to employment. We offer a strong team environment, where your ideas and drive will be welcomed and where you as an individual can make a real difference to people’s lives.
