We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Communications Manager to support our growth ambitions. Bladder Health UK (BHUK) is a small national charity that has developed significantly over the last 10 years. We are now looking for a part-time charity manager who can continue this journey. The role gives a rare opportunity to someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference in this unique space and have a significant impact on both sufferers and healthcare professionals. What you would do

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Behaviourist (Clinical Behaviour Services) to work on providing an internal referral service for behavioural medicine, recommending treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress, and assisting with more complex cases as required.
What does this role involve?
As Veterinary Behaviourist you’ll:
- Work with the Community Clinical Animal Behaviour and post-adoption support teams in devising the optimal behaviour rehabilitation strategy for dogs in their care while liaising with external veterinary practices as required to support the work of clinical teams.
- Support and advise staff across Dogs Trust on matters relating to psychoactive medication and links between disease, physiology and behavioural signs, under the direction of the Head of Clinical Behaviour Services.
- Provide behaviour consultations to owned dogs with behaviour problems especially those with a medical component that requires specialist input.
- Assist with staff training through workshops, clinical case reviews, mentorship and conferences.
About you:
With a good knowledge of dog behaviour, training and welfare you will have a veterinary qualification with postgraduate experience as a veterinary surgeon. This role is establishing Friends of the Earth’s flagship environmental leadership programme with young people in Belfast and surrounding areas. The programme, People Planet Place, uses community organising methodology to support marginalised young people to develop and deliver their own environmental justice campaigns as a team within their Further Education college or Youth Work setting. This is a new role in Belfast that will work alongside an existing Youth Campaign Coach based in Derry/Londonderry.
This work has been made possible by a four year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. Enormous thank you to the fund for enabling a new generation of young people in Northern Ireland to campaign to protect our world.
Job purpose:
To deliver Friends of the Earth Northern Ireland’s inclusion programmes with working class, disabled, LGBTQIA+ and racialised young people in Further Education and youth work settings across Northern Ireland, with a focus in the greater Belfast area. This includes:
- Responsibility for direct project delivery in colleges and youth groups;
- Co-delivery with college and youth work staff so they can subsequently run the programme independently; and
- Coordinating a professional network of youth work and environmental organisations to increase access to environmental campaigning opportunities for marginalised young people in Northern Ireland.
The direct delivery involves leading recruitment and induction of small teams of young people followed by support in the form of training, coaching and resources to help them to implement environmental campaigns in their colleges, youth groups and communities.
Projects may vary but the focus will be on supporting 16-25 year olds within Further Education and Youth Work settings to learn about environmental justice and become skilled campaigners. Work will include follow up support for alumni of the programme to continue their campaigning journey.

- Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the NHS, health care and social care professionals to inspire and enable them to feel engaged and supported to co-create and prescribe a Nature Prescription, and to connect RSPB with the health sector to help create doors for future work.
- Engage with local healthcare professionals and community groups to co-design Nature Prescriptions materials with local people, community groups and healthcare professionals so that they reach a large diversity of people, and those that need and can benefit the most.
- Develop the project plan and ensure that the right governance structure for project management is in place and RSPB internal project management practices are followed, so that the project stays on track, comes in on budget and risks are identified, escalated, and managed within tolerances.
- Work with local environmental networks to build a picture of nature-based activities available and identify opportunities for partnership working.
- Lead on developing ways to evaluate and measure the impact of the project, including engaging with those prescribing and local communities to gather stories and case studies that demonstrate the benefits to wellbeing and connectedness to nature.
- Build internal relationships with RSPB employees and volunteers working with nature prescribing and nature and wellbeing across the UK.
- Develop a strategy and plan for Nature and Wellbeing work legacy aiming to learn from the work done in Scotland and England and from the communities and health care professionals in Cardiff and surrounds to support development of future work in Cardiff and beyond.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

New Routes Integration
Since 2003 New Routes has been working with, and supporting, refugees, asylum seekers and isolated migrants in Norwich to support their wellbeing and ambitions by providing skill-building and social programmes in a safe and welcoming environment. We promote cross-cultural integration and community awareness, working with individuals and families from over 60 countries of origin. Principle purpose of the post:
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely.
The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive in leading and monitoromg service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy in order to diversify our funding streams enabling New Routes to develop exceptional services that meet our participants existing and emerging needs.
In conjunction with the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles, and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations.
The Operations Manager will provide support and deputise for the Chief Executive when required. The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a high ability to be pro-active in anticipating and managing their workload, and work without high levels of direction.

About the role
Working across Newcastle, Northumberland, and North Tyneside this post will support the delivery of the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s One Stop Shop for Retrofit Advice (OSS). The One Stop Shop will help households progress with domestic energy retrofit by offering a trusted end-to-end solution.
You will be a key resource in supporting the marketing and campaigns activities of the OSS to engage partners across our communities. Working with a team of Energy and Retrofit Advisors the Partnership Officer will develop networks and partnerships to help households pursuing domestic retrofit opportunities. They will attend ongoing Steering Group and delivery team meetings to ensure they are aware of all Shop activity and its effective coordination. The post will work closely with Local Authorities and the Combined Authority to ensure that domestic retrofit is recognised and delivered across the North of Tyne Area.

We are looking for an operations manager to help oversee our existing projects as well as those in development, along with ensuring smooth day-to-day operations remain smooth. Our ops manager will support our staff, admin, and volunteer team leaders to ensure they feel supported and empowered in their roles, The role will also undertake and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of our funded projects so that we can maintain positive relationships with our current funders and confidently seek relationships with new funders.

You will be a creative thinker, with excellent data analysis skills and a high emotional intelligence. You will be confident managing multiple projects and able to maintain focus on both the day-to-day running of our core projects, such as the foodbank, as well as implementing and overseeing shorter term and one-off funded projects.
You will be confident working with people across multiple levels of the organisation, including key stakeholders, and feel empowered to make suggestions and recommendations to our board of trustees.
