This role is based within the Wiltshire DVPP (Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme) Team which delivers domestic abuse services across Wiltshire.
This position is based within our Behaviour Change team and focuses on working with low to medium risk perpetrators of domestic abuse on a one-to-one basis, with the aim of supporting people to change their behavior.
In addition, you will support the delivery of the CPR (Choosing Positive Relationships) Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme (DVPP), which is an intensive behaviour change programme, designed to increase knowledge and understanding around domestic abuse, the impact on children and healthy relationships. The course teaches tools and strategies to help someone change their behaviour. The CPR group will require weekly evening work in Wiltshire.
The key duties for this role are to:
- Co-facilitate the delivery of our CPR perpetrator group-work programme one evening per week.
- Deliver one to one support sessions for perpetrators based around: understanding domestic abuse, managing aggressive behavior, recognising the impact that abuse has on others.
- Work closely with the rest of the Behaviour Change to promote a ‘whole family approach’ to addressing domestic abuse and prioritise safety for the victim.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners, particularly Children’s Social Care, ensuring a focus on risk and safeguarding.

About the project
In an innovative partnership with Southwark Council, Southwark Law Centre, and Impact for Urban Health, we’ve been supporting close to 200 private renters over the last 3 years who have been threatened with eviction by their landlords, or are living in temporary accommodation, to sustain their tenancies and/or find onward housing in the social or private sector that is suitable for their health, needs and aspirations.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate support worker to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Housing Support Practitioner in our small and dedicated team. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with the Council’s housing officers, solicitors, community services, social prescribers, and mental health support workers to coordinate tailored support for each client to avoid eviction and sustain tenancies, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing advice for onward housing when needed with the support of the Housing Link Worker. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies or move to a better suited property, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. You will be working in partnership with other stakeholders such as schools and health professionals to improve family health, build relationships and engage families and individuals and their networks of support.
About you
You will have experience of working with individuals with complex needs. You will be an enthusiastic person who is self-motivated, confident and thrives when working independently with a passion to support change. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience delivering holistic support, be a solution-minded thinker, have a good understanding of strength-based approaches and be able work sensitively and empathetically with people in vulnerable circumstances. You will also have experience working in a systemic and therapeutic way. It is also important to us that you have the competency to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. The Wingfield Resource Centre currently provides support for individuals experiencing mental health crisis or who require preventative support. We operate 365 days a year from 6pm to 11pm. Our Peer Support service will offer both intensive and low key peer support services. You will support people who are going through a difficult time, by sharing your experiences, helping them discover the strengths and developing skills that will lead to wellness. But it's only possible with the help of people like you.
Day-to-day, you’ll work with the support staff, mental health nurses and the people who use our services to develop an inclusive and effective peer support service, offering individual and group support. You will help to contribute to the development of organisational policies, procedures, protocols, systems and guidance to underpin the provision of peer support across the service. Identifying and undertaking training programmes, promoting the service to stakeholders and operating within a fully compliant service to agreed budgets – all are part and parcel of this challenging role.

Basis is looking to appoint a Navigation and Support Worker (Intensive Support) who can provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited. The women we work with often require intensive practical and emotional support as well as help to navigate health and, social care, the criminal justice systems and other services. The women’s circumstances can impact their mental or physical health. They may also be at risk of or experience homelessness and come into contact with the criminal justice system. Many of the women may experience historic or current sexual and/or domestic abuse.
Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalised supported will help women to access other services and making appropriate referrals for women who wish to access additional support, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. You will be responsible for ensuring that women with varying needs are supported effectively throughout their pathway of support with Basis and partners, advocating for and with the women you are working with including, where necessary, challenging stigma and judgement women face.

Our services in Leeds provide support to adult women (and those identifying as women/non- binary) involved in all aspects of the sex industry or who are experiencing sexual exploitation. The postholder will provide support to women identified as requiring or accessing intensive support. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights-based approach and provide evidence-based services to enable and empower women to make informed choices. The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling safer working practices. Services are provided within the community, on evening outreach and at venues as women determine.

Basis is looking to appoint a Group Support Worker who can provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited through group support sessions. The women we support all experience stigma; some may also have (recent or current) experience of poor mental and physical health, substance abuse, homelessness and sexual or other forms of abuse and/or substance abuse). You will be responsible for facilitating themed groups focusing on practical and emotional support as well as developing peer support and influencing mechanisms working in partnership with other partners in Leeds.

Our services in Leeds provide support to adult women (and those identifying as women/non- binary) involved in all aspects of the sex industry or who are experiencing sexual exploitation. The postholder will provide support to women identified as requiring or accessing intensive support. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights-based approach and provide evidence-based services to enable and empower women to make informed choices. The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling safer working practices. Services are provided within the community, on evening outreach and at venues as women determine.

Fuel Bank - Support Administrator
Location – Remote based role with occasional travel to the Midlands for team meetings & training.
Hours – Part & Full Time Positions. F/T – 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. P/T 20+ hours flexible Monday to Friday to suit the needs of the charity and individual’s work life balance.
Salary - £11.55ph (salary review’s to be conducted in April 2024).

Fuel Bank Foundation is the only UK charity to focus on the challenges of people living in fuel crisis. We provide emergency financial support through our network of partners who identify people who cannot afford to pre-pay for their energy.
As a Support Administrator, you will work closely with the team to support the communications through the email inbox, holding telephone assessments and by the processing of queries and applications. You will also work closely with other departments within the charity and ensure clear and consistent communication is delivered and additional support is given where needed.
Some of your duties and responsibilities include:
· Manage the daily queries that are received into the team’s inbox.
· Holding telephone assessments to establish the support needs of the client.
· Request additional information as required in regard to applications.
· Liaise with partners and applicants to ensure all relevant detail is given and gathered.
· Update inhouse systems and Excel spreadsheets.
· Monitor progress rates of applications and where communication may be needed.
· Ensuring all data is correct so that Internal departments can trust the integrity of the data on the company’s system.
· Escalate any queries where needed to other members of the team.
· Build relationships with key partners via calls and emails.
· To assist with all associated administration.
· Ensure the smooth running of each application.
· Liaise with internal departments regarding follow up communications.
· Produce reports where required for senior team.
· Accurate electronic filing of documentation.
The person for the role will:
· Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to adapt the way you communicate to suit different situations.
· Have excellent written and verbal communication, with telephone customer service experience.
· Have strong empathy skills with real life skills to deal with sensitive situations with compassion and understanding.
· Have a passion for working in this area of support work.
