We are a small charity with national reach looking for the right person to help us grow our voice and influence in a range of ways. You will have expertise in a number of areas of communications activity, and will be looking for the next challenge. You will be joining a high performing and motivated team in a brand new role, giving you the chance to shape our communications content and activity. The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter who loves daily content creation, writes brilliantly and is keen to lead a range of communications & marketing activities, which make a genuine difference to many people’s lives. The access to justice sector has a huge impact on people's lives but cutting through in a noisy media environment is a challenge; is it one you're up to?
Top quality communication skills are a must, alongside experience with press, marketing, web and social media. A natural story-teller, you will liaise with barristers, sponsors, members of the public and a wide variety of stakeholders on a daily basis. You will report to the Joint COO & Head of Fundraising and Communications and work closely alongside our dedicated and friendly team, and our panel of almost 4,000 volunteer barristers.
About the charity
Advocate is a national charity which matches volunteer barristers able to give their time and expertise pro bono with those who desperately need access to justice but cannot obtain public funding (legal aid) and cannot afford to pay for legal help. We work in all areas of law, across all courts and tribunals in England and Wales.
This is a full time role working at our busy and friendly office on Chancery Lane. The contract is initially for 12 months but the aim is to continue the role. Part time work is possible for the right candidate.
