Job description

Are you an adventurous, early career auditor, interested in a leadership role in the national audit office of a British Overseas Territory?

Our partner is the national auditor of a small British Overseas Territory, responsible for auditing state owned entities, subsidiaries and enterprise funds. They are seeking 2 Principal Auditors to lead small teams in planning & executing financial & value-for-money audits, and undertaking some assurance assignments as required. The role will offer an early career professional an opportunity to take on leadership role, understand DfID audit & reporting requirements, and an immersive experience in a friendly island community. 

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant, with experience in undertaking external audits.
  • Strong technical knowledge, specifically knowledge of international reporting standards
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) & negotiation skills
  • Resilient, flexible, and adaptable.

This is a fixed-term contract role; they are open to considering applicants able to make a 12 or 24 month commitment, with the latter preferred. In addition to the salary, our partner will cover the cost of one return flight and accommodation in-country. This role is based in a British Overseas Territory.
