We are expanding our services delivered through the support of volunteers and have an exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic manager to develop and lead our volunteer programme.
Our Volunteer Manager will provide a central point of coordination for volunteering, implementing consistent volunteer management processes across the organisation and leading on the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers.
The ideal candidate
This is a forward thinking, energetic role for someone passionate about delivering high quality service to older people. Ideally, you will have proven experience of team management and leadership preferably in the third sector and experience of working within a fast paced environment.
The successful applicant will be an excellent manager who is committed to delivering a high quality service that meets the needs of a range of stakeholders. We want an exceptional communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff and volunteers. You will have a commitment to good practice in volunteering and engaging with volunteers.
We are a locally focused charity with over 160 staff and volunteers across Birmingham and Sandwell, providing a broad range of services to people aged 50 and over. We are looking to grow and expand to reach more of the older people in Birmingham and Sandwell.
