Salary SO1 scp 23-25 £32,063 to £33,229

Opening Doors London is the largest UK charity providing activities, events, support and information for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans + people aged over 50. We aim to ensure that LGBT+ people over 50 live happier, healthier and independent lives free from prejudice and discrimination. Everything we do is informed by the lived experience of LGBT+ people.  

As Community Engagement Coordinator, you will lead on delivering Opening Doors London’s community engagement activities, events and programmes. You’re a forward-thinking, enthusiastic individual, able to prioritise and manage multiple activities, work to tight deadlines and be skilled in managing projects and people, enabling them to reach their full potential. As a great team player, you will enjoy engaging with colleagues, volunteers, external agencies and stakeholders in the best interest of Opening Doors London.  

You will: 

  • Understand the diversity and needs of people aged over 50 from LGBT+ communities and be committed to diversity and inclusion 

  • Have experience of managing projectand people at a community level 

  • Be skilled at engaging with organisations and individuals to produce excellent collaborative results. 

  • Be able to work creatively in producing innovative programmes for LGBT+ people aged over 50. 

  • Be able to manage a busy and varied workload to tight deadlines as part of a dedicated team.
