Age UK Gloucestershire is a small charity, with big ambitions. We are constantly looking at new ways to support older people to remain independent at home and connected to their community. We have created this exciting new role to bring these innovations to older people across Gloucestershire.
Your initial focus will be launching a project for those who are ‘ageing without children’ and supporting our existing ‘Homeshare’ intergenerational living project, which is building momentum throughout the county. We are looking for;
- A people person – a great listener who can build solid relationships to better understand people’s needs and work with them to help them achieve their goals.
- A projects person – someone who can plan how to take our idea and get it off the ground quickly and effectively.
- A doing person – happy to be hands on, delivering the projects with older people.
- A persuasive person – using positive communication to promote our projects to any audience.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. We are committed to having a workforce that is representative of the community we serve, at all levels of the organisation. We therefore welcome applications from all backgrounds and all sections of the community.
In return, we can offer great benefits, flexibility and the chance to be part of well-respected, ambitious local charity, which is making a difference to thousands of older people across Gloucestershire.
Closing Date for applications: Monday 17th May 2021. Interviews w/c 24th May 2020
