Age UK Islington specialises in wellbeing services provision. Our expanding range of services is available to all adults and we have an exciting opportunity for a Case Worker focussing on Carers Support to lead join our dynamic (ICH) team.

The purpose of the Case Worker (Carers Support) post will focus on facilitating and delivering support and interventions which improve carers’ personal, social and educational development with particular reference to the opportunities available to them within adult health and social care and carer support services.

You will be ambitious and eager to look at creative ways of supporting and connecting carers with various abilities who might be experiencing single, multiple and complex issues to regain confidence and feelings of wellbeing. You will be committed to delivering a high-quality service and to achieving the best outcomes for carers and for the organisation.

This role is well suited to an individual with some experience and knowledge regarding carer related issues with good listening and communication skills. Based within Islington, you will be working and building effective partnerships with a wide range of organisations, community groups and professionals including social care, housing and health practitioners, alongside other Age UK Islington wellbeing services.

You’ll need excellent IT and organisational skills, be able to adapt to changing demands and priorities, be solution focussed, and decisive whilst remaining service focussed. As a Case Worker – Carers you will be carrying out statutory Carers Assessments including support planning and associated processes.
