Community Fundraiser - London SW9 

£21,166 pa (full-time but part-time and flexibility considered)

We support older people in Lambeth to live enriched, productive and purposeful lives: challenging the stigma of ageing, reducing social isolation and ensuring they get the right support at the right time. We are kind, person centred and outcome focused - finding solutions that work by listening, being flexible and including older people in delivering services. 

What you’ll be doing? 

This is a new role dedicated to building a supporter base in Lambeth reaching out to local people, businesses and others who wish to contribute to our work through charitable giving. You will be part of our Engagement Team working alongside marketing, communications and campaigns staff but with specific responsibility for: 

  • Developing an annual fundraising plan

  • Creating and delivering a programme of fundraising events

  • Increasing the number of supporters and regular givers

  • Building positive long-term relationships with potential supporters, eg local businesses, community groups, local trusts and foundations

  • Identifying and publicising different ways of giving

  • Working with our Volunteer Co-ordinator to recruit and retain fundraising volunteers

What you need to bring

  • The ability to inspire and motivate supporters

  • A good understanding of different fundraising practices

  • A track record of successful delivery of fundraising events and initiatives

  • Experience of working with charity CRMs and databases, eg donorfy
