We are recruiting a Programme Development and Funding Officer. The post-holder will support country and regional teams in Eurasia and the Middle East, working across the programme funding cycle, for both development and humanitarian work. The post-holder will also account manage some of Age International's key donor accounts, helping to build relations and secure funding for our work. This job provides the opportunity to work closely with programme teams, and to make a real contribution to the design, development and oversight of projects, as well as acting as a global focal point on one of our key donor accounts.
* A good understanding of international development and global ageing.
* Experience of working in programming, or at least a strong interest to develop skills in this area.
* Experience of working with, and securing funds from, major institutional donors, including UN agencies; UK and European governments, trusts, and foundations.
* Able to manage multiple and complex tasks, and to work under pressure in a deadline-focused environment.
* Strong project proposal and report writing skills.
* Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies and plans.
We can accommodate the post-holder working from home 1 day a week.
There will be international travel, usually between 4-6 weeks per year.
