We are recruiting for a proven Supporter Engagement Executive to join our experienced friendly team who support our valued customers, donors and stakeholders. The purpose of the Supporter Engagement Team is to provide excellent customer service to external stakeholders who engage with the charity predominantly within 3 core areas of our work - Fundraising, Campaigning and Local Age UK Partnerships. This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same. From one day to the next you could be responding to enquiries on social media or email, dealing with a complaint over the phone, escalating issues to management or third parties, and accurately processing donations from supporters.
To succeed in this role you should be passionate about providing a great customer experience, and have the ability to deliver prompt and appropriate responses to enquiries or complaints from a broad selection of people including the public, our Local Age UK partners and supporters of the organisation.
- You should have proven experience within a customer service role.
- You should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- You will have the ability to communicate and empathise with a range of people from internal stakeholders and colleagues to external supporters.
- You will have the ability to handle emotionally challenging interactions, often with older people and people in vulnerable circumstances.
- You will need to demonstrate good IT skills including proficiency using email, databases, CRM systems, payment processing systems and social media.
- Experience within a charitable organisation would be beneficial to your application.
Our London office is currently closed due to coronavirus. Home working is currently in place, however a blend of office & home working will be implemented when restrictions ease.
