Essential Criteria

• Fully Qualified Accountant
• Proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the whole finance function.
• Experience at a senior level as Company Secretary or equivalent
• Experienced in delivering finance system and/or ERP transformation
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop team members to their full potential.
• Demonstrated aptitude for strategic thinking, planning and analysis.
• Excellent financial planning, annual budgeting and forecasting skills

Desirable Criteria

• Charity sector experience particularly the nature of unrestricted, designated and restricted funds, VAT Partial Exemption, Gift Aid and the Charity SORP

This position is responsible for the full finance function and responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for the development and successful delivery of the Finance function;

You will have demonstrable commercial acumen, a strong understanding of business and strategic issues, and the ability to appropriately challenge and advise budget holders. Established by the telecoms industry in June 2022, TOTSCo (The One Touch Switching Company Ltd) is a member-owned company whose goal is the introduction, in line with new regulations, of switching processes for broadband and voice services in the home and for businesses. Given its unique position in the industry, the governance of TOTSCo is key to its legitimacy and effective operation. TOTSCo is looking for a Chief of Staff to drive the development of its governance and strategy.

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the job holder will work closely with the CEO, the executive team and the board on a variety of tasks to help TOTSCo achieve maturity in its governance, decision making and strategy and more generally as an organisation. Tasks include:

• Forward-planning board agendas in the light of strategic and operational priorities
• Preparing papers for board consideration under direction, including appropriate analysis and recommendations

• Preparing periodic board off-site strategy meetings
• Support board committees (e.g. Remco, ARC) in meeting preparation

Finance and Operations Manager - 4 or 5 days a week - Fully remote - one year contract

An exciting opportunity has come up to work for a circa £1million turnover association. This is a newly created role, where you will be working very closely with reporting to the CEO.

This is a fully remote role, offering a salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum with 30% non contributory pension. My client is open to candidates looking to work 4 days a week, where the salary will be prorated.

This is a very hands-on Finance role overseeing the HR and the IT infrastructure. The role provides support to the Board ensuring the organisation is charity compliant in all its work. The organisation has grown rapidly recently, receiving a number of grants, and this role will help provide assurance regarding their administration and on reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Maintain a suitable business planning model covering long term cash flow forecasts
• Ensure annual Statutory Accounts are completed in adherence with UK accounting standards
• Develop and maintain adequate financial control systems and procedures
• Develop an effective IT strategy and ensure service levels are set and maintained with external IT suppliers
• Ensure that the organisation complies to relevant regulations for data protection and data security
• Day-to-day oversight of the finance function
• Support project officers with grant management and reporting
• Produce monthly management accounts and prepare the finance part of the annual report
• Main contact for accountants who audit and lead on preparing required documents
• Ensure processes are in place for payroll, expenses, assets, issuing of invoices, purchases
