This is an exciting new opportunity to work with a growing homelessness charity, setting up and developing a new project to support people to break the cycle of homelessness.
The COVID-19 crisis has had a significant impact on homeless people and on the way homelessness services operate. In particular, new guidance on the way winter night shelters are allowed to operate due to health risks, has meant that All People All Places must adapt our usual model of delivering night shelter projects.
The Project Co-ordinator will help establish a new night shelter project providing self-contained accommodation to people facing street homelessness. The post holder will co-ordinate the general running of the project - taking referrals, conducting needs and risk assessments, and delivery of advice and advocacy to support our guests out of homelessness. The Project Co-ordinator will also be responsible for recruiting and supporting a bank of volunteers to provide on-site support to guests.
The post-holder will be based at our Haringey Day Centre in Muswell Hill, where shelter guests can access advice and advocacy as well as primary services such as showers, laundry services and food. The role will involve some local travel to and from the shelters (Haringey and Enfield).
The post is funded by the National Lottery through the National Lottery Community Fund. Funding is until May 2021, and we hope to extend this subject to further funding.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
