£40,000 £45,000

English National Opera exists for everyone, creating new experiences with opera that inspires, nurtures creativity and makes a difference.  English National Opera is Britain's only full-time repertory opera company, based at the London Coliseum near Covent Garden.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Finance Business Partner to provide an expert business partner service to English National Opera’s Artistic, Musical and Technical departments.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is a key role responsible for taking a lead role in the analysis and communication of financial information to ensure better decision making and the future growth of the organisation.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the production of the monthly management accounts and commentary;
  • Leading and co-ordinating the preparation of multi-year annual budgets, and the ongoing monitoring of actual and forecast financial performance;
  • Developing and maintaining excellent business partnering arrangements with the Artistic, Music and Technical departments and providing them with reliable, consistent and timely financial information;
  • Championing change and consistently delivering improved financial performance.

The successful candidate must be a professionally qualified accountant (CCAB) with a driven approach and robust technical skills from the Charity, Commercial or wider Public Sector. You will have a strong sense of commercial acumen and an analytical mind-set. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a range of finance and non-finance persons across the organisation.
