Job description

My client is a national charity dedicated to the promotion of the UK’s rich and diverse arts sector. Their work ranges from supporting small local collections to engaging with world-leading institutions, they ensure as many people as possible can access and enjoy them.

At present they are looking to appoint an interim Director of Finance and Resources to lead on a review of their back office functions and ensure they are able to deliver as a critical business partner to the organisation.

Key responsibilities & objectives:

  • Oversee a small but diverse back office function including finance, HR, legal, facilities.
  • Acting as the most senior finance professional, responsible for overall financial management, business analysis and financial control of the charity.
  • Transform finance into an outward facing business partner, providing critical financial information and insight to the business and board.
  • Invest in the development and culture of the team (people, systems and processes)

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a track record in the Charity and/ or Arts sector. With strong presentation skills and outward facing mind set, you will be very comfortable communicating complex financial messages to the board.

This opportunity is open to candidates seeking both part and full time work (4- 5 days a week). At present my client is operating a hybrid office/ home working model, with c2 days in the office per week.
