My client is an international charity working in over 150 countries worldwide. Providing support and services to some of the most vulnerable people around the world, they give access to life saving programmes and initiatives. At present they are looking to secure large grants and contracts from key government donors, primarily FCDO.
As such they are looking to appoint a Bid Manager who will make a significant contribution to this work, helping to guide the development proposals that respond to major grant opportunities and build strong relationships with other consortium members.
- Working with the Director of Strategic Partnerships to facilitate the development of competitive FCDO proposals including win strategy, partner strategy and cost strategy.
- Ensure responsiveness and compliance of pre-qualification documentation and proposals through analysis of donor requirements and bid documentation and the use of a compliance and responsiveness matrix.
- Research and establish a network of potential partners to build a consortium for FCDO funding, evaluating competitor organisations and building relationships with key contacts.
- Assemble and line manage bid teams (typically 3-5 people) for the duration of the bid, to ensure appropriate and timely input.
The successful candidate will have an extensive background in international development and FCDO funding projects. Coming from either a bid management or business development background, you will have a strong mix of government grant technical knowledge as well as relationship and networking skills.
