Job description

Allen Lane are currently assisting a London based charity with the recruitment of a permanent Finance Manager. Due to internal progression this fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to work closely with the Head of Finance and take responsibility for the operational management of the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of a team of 7 that includes transaction processing, banking, and credit control
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for charity and it's subsidiary
  • Preparation of consolidated annual reports and accounts alongside the Head of Finance
  • Liaison with the Auditors at year end including making sure that the audit pack is sufficient and making sure the balance sheet accounts are reconciled
  • Coordination of the annual budgets
  • Preparation of VAT returns

Key Criteria:

  • A qualified Accountant
  • Previous experience of managing or supervising a team
  • Experience of preparation of statutory accounts
  • Experience of Budget setting and monthly management accounts
  • Confident system user including Excel

This role would ideally suit some one who has had experience in a previous role or some one who is looking to consolidate their experience. This is an whole round role that will allow exposure to the whole finance function. Experience of the charity sector is desirable however not essential and the Charity welcomes applications from any sector. This an urgent role that will close on the 20th October.
