Financial Accountant

My client is a very well known brand in the UK offering a wide variety of much needed services to including care, support and advice. 

At present they are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team with a focus on ensuring the integrity of the monthly financial reporting and producing the statutory accounts for the charity and trading subsidiaries year-end.

Key responsibilities:

• Completing the month and year end accounting, including the reconciliation of intercompany and other balance sheet accounts, clearing of intercompany balances, review of working capital
• Preparing the year end statutory accounts
• Leading the external audits for those subsidiaries managed at Head Office (including preparation/amalgamation of all audit deliverables) and supporting the Head of Financial Accounts with the preparation of the group consolidated accounts and annual return;
• Statutory filing of subsidiary accounts and submission of any required regulatory returns, including any returns due to HMRC such as VAT, Corporation Tax;

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a desire to drive change in an organisation. Additional skills include highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise and work across different teams.

My client operates a very flexible hybrid working model of 2 days a week in the office.
