We’re looking for a proactive, energised, and thoughtful relationship specialist to provide maternity cover for our Account Management team. The successful candidate will join a welcoming team to manage six figure charity partnerships with leading UK and international organisations. This will be for a period of 12 months, or on return of the substantive post holder.  

Our Corporate Partnerships team is friendly and efficient, with bags of energy and ambition. We’re really excited about welcoming a new colleague who can bring a fresh perspective to our work, and we also hope that this role will provide a chance for the successful candidate to learn from our high-achieving team.

We’re looking for experience managing high-value relationships, but we welcome applicants who have gathered this experience within any sector. The role requires someone with strong communication and business development skills, as well as attention to detail and an organised approach to a busy and varied workload.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

  • Seizing on opportunities to broaden existing relationships, at all levels, creating multifaceted partnerships.
  • Working with corporate partners to develop and realise creative fundraising ideas and events.
  • Developing and delivering learning and awareness rising activities within partnerships, including presenting to large audiences.
  • Working to targets and monitoring partnership performance to achieve agreed objectives.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable account management experience in any sector; transferable sales or marketing skills also relevant.
  • Experience building and managing high-level relationships.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the different types of corporate partnerships and corporate motivations.
  • Ability to network, negotiate and influence, including at high levels.
  • Ability to work with independence, drive and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability and confidence to present to corporate audiences.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Good planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with computers; knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • You work well as part of a team but are also proactive and can work independently.
  • A confident and friendly manner; at ease representing the charity with all levels of external contacts.
  • Creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to identify opportunities within partnerships and develop tailored fundraising ideas and engagement initiatives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel independently in the UK and to occasionally work outside of regular office hours when needed.

Additional Information:

Ways of working:  As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Our Office: Our office is at 3 Riverside, Granta Park, Great Abingdon, Cambridge, CB21 6AD. 

Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum, plus benefits
