Job Description

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity dedicated to diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. Backed by our passionate scientists and supporters, we’re challenging the way people think about dementia, bringing together the people and organisations who can speed up progress, and investing in research to make life-changing breakthroughs possible.

Sitting within the wider Insight and Development function whose purpose is to maximise Alzheimer’s Research UK’s fundraised income, the Supporter Merchandise and Fulfilment team at Alzheimer’s Research UK exists to provide the tools needed for our employees and the public to support our work.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

  • Proactively engaging with new external suppliers, ensuring that they are reliable, compliant and offer the best value for the charity
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and build an understanding of the strengths we have in our supplier portfolio
  • Working with internal stakeholders to fully understand the requirements of ad-hoc merchandise requests so these can be accurately briefed to suppliers
  • Take the lead on resolving any delivery and stock issues
  • Responding to any queries relating to fulfilment form both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Support in the running and maintenance of the charity’s online shop

What we are looking for:

  • Educated to A Level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Personable and outgoing with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
