Salary: £7,444 actual per annum

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be part of our integrated service as a Group Coordinator. You will need to coordinate, organise and facilitate the successful and safe provision of services delivered in a group setting across Leicester City and Leicestershire County, your main office base will be in Leicester Forest East. Group activities can inform, educate, support and provide structured activities with identified outcomes for attendees in a group setting. As part of this role you will also be required to facilitate our Carers Information Support Programme (CrISP) where carers are able to receive information, share their experiences and find out about local services. As well as CriSP you will also be required to facilitate our Live Well with Dementia Programme (LWWD), this programme is designed specifically to support people living with a diagnosis of dementia to gain an understanding,
knowledge and skills on how to live well.
On occasions you may also be required to work outside of your normal working hours.
You will need to possess NVQ level 2 or equivalent. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with good organisational skills. As this role involves regular use of IT packages, a good standard of IT would be desirable.
You will also need experience in a care or support environment, experience of co-ordinating volunteers and experience of conflict resolution. In addition, an understanding of dementia and of the needs of people living with dementia and their carers is essential.
