Who we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated and talented event management professional to join our Events team as our new Associate Director. The role will be responsible for leading our event management across Ambition Institute. We run around 1500 training events over 14 programmes per year which are a core element of our programmes. The events team is responsible for the delivery of these, both face to face and online.
The Associate Director will lead the team who will plan, run and evaluate these events providing a high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for setting the standards and strategic direction for our Event service. The Associate Director and their team work with our three faculties to deliver a consistent, efficient events process that meets the needs of our programmes. They will oversee a team of c. 20, maintaining a positive culture, flexing the team to meet programme needs and overseeing the quality of events.
Based in either our London or Manchester office, and reporting to the Director of Programme Operations, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of events and collaborating with teams across the organisation to deliver high quality learning events. You will require experience of managing a multi-tiered team, with specific focus of setting vision and direction, as well as extensive experience of event delivery across a range of events. The role will engage with both internal teams and external vendors, and you will need to be able to build strong relationships with both at a variety of levels.
