Head of Fundraising 

A great opportunity to work in a Fundraising role for a leading health charity.

Position: Head of Fundraising 
Location: London 
Job Type: Permanent, full time 
Salary: circa £52,000 per annum

About the role: 

The Head of Fundraising role is a newly developed role. The post holder will be a vital member of the senior management team of Amref Health Africa UK. 

The Head of Fundraising will lead and manage four fundraising roles (across Corporate, Major Gifts, Trusts, Individuals) and a fundraising assistant. You will work closely with Fundraising, Communications and Finance staff to increase Amref’s profile with priority audiences and ensure all fundraising activity adheres to unified messaging and the organisational brand. 

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of the fundraising environment and a range of techniques which will support income generation. Relevant senior-level experience of successful fundraising with an emphasis on High Value donors and partners is required. 

Demonstrable success in new business generation, securing six-figure (and above) gifts and partnerships is required, as well as previous experience of leading and developing a team to achieve targets and maximise their personal potential. Experience of using Raisers Edge or another customer relationship management database is necessary as is knowledge of budget management. 

It is also desirable that you have experience of working within an international organisation, knowledge and experience of sub-Saharan Africa and have an understanding of and passion for International Development, particularly Health.
