We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Fundraising team as Community Fundraising Officer, covering our East Midlands hub. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £30,781.96 per annum plus excellent benefits.

The Community Fundraising Officer is an exciting role for a community fundraiser who wants to make a positive impact and drive income generation. Sitting in the Community Fundraising and Events department within the Marketing and Income Generation Directorate the Community Fundraising Officer plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting community activities to drive and grow community fundraised income. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of products and activities, work alongside dedicated volunteers, meet our loyal supporters and demonstrate the joy and impact of community fundraising all for the benefit of cats and kittens in the UK.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of raising funds in a community fundraising environment
- Experience in planning, organising and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities
- Direct experience of working with volunteers
- Experience of planning and working to income/expenditure budgets
- Good working knowledge of transaction/contact database (preferably CARE NG)
- A flexible approach to working hours and able to attend events which may occasionally fall on evenings or weekends

Volunteer Programme Fundraiser
We are looking for a highly motivated person with excellent communication skills who recognises the value of volunteering – both to the organisation and the individual.

About the Role
We currently have a variety of volunteer roles including Fundraising Volunteers, Information Hub Volunteers (who support the Charity Hubs around the hospitals), and event volunteers. The organisation would like to grow the volunteer roles and introduce official Fundraising groups across The East of England to the portfolio.
These are ambitious plans and targets for the charity over the next five years – and volunteers play a huge part in that vision.
Successfully delivering this exciting new fundraising strategy is only possible with a strong team of engaged volunteers – and that is only possible if there are the right volunteer fundraisers in the team.
If successful, you will be working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for volunteering across events, assisting fundraisers out in the community, setting up fundraising committees, and sourcing income generation opportunities at local community events. You will also be responsible for growing the pool of volunteers allowing presence across the hospital, promoting the work and impact of the charity.
You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the exciting new Hubs within the Hospital programme– ensuring that they are adequately staffed by excellent volunteers who are highly trained, and that are providing an excellent patient experience, in these crucial front-of-house opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can build a team of committed and engaged volunteers to support the fundraising and generate income through volunteer activities. You will bring your experience of establishing positive relationships, as well as your knowledge of volunteering best practices, to create a programme that appeals to people who want to support the Hospital. You will be able to make the volunteers feel fulfilled, engaged, and proud to be a part of the team.

Harris Hill are thrilled to be partnering up with an international animal welfare charity who are in an exciting period of growth and are looking for a Major Donor Fundraiser. The role will be working closely with the Head of Fundraising and will be ideally bringing in £200k+ from a mix of Major donors, Trusts and Corporates.
Job title: Major Donor Fundraiser
Location: London 1 day a week
Grade and salary: £50,000 - £54,000
Hours: 40 hours per week.

Context and Responsibilities within this role:
- Creating and implementing a strategic targeted program of Mid Value, Major Donors, HNWI’s, Corporates, Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
- Developing and implementing tailored funding applications, with responsibility for ensuring compliance in any agreements;
- To nurture individual and corporate relationships with a view to securing fundraising opportunities in excess of £5k;
- To create opportunities to meet and develop existing relationships with supporters;
They are now looking for:
- Extensive experience of managing major donor programs and an understanding of fundraising and marketing within animal welfare and international organisations.
- A confident fundraiser with broad experience on fundraising principles, major donor programs and corporate giving;
- Substantial experience in developing corporate relationships;
- Excellent written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills including presenting, negotiating and influencing;
- Proficiency in Excel, and other Microsoft office tools and working knowledge of CRM systems preferably Raisers Edge.
