Job Description

We’re Anthony Nolan and we save the lives of people with blood cancer who need a stem cell transplant.

We’re unique. Thanks to the incredible donors on our register, our pioneering research and our passionate fundraisers, we give the chance of life to three people a day.

But we won’t stop there. We want to be there for everyone who needs a transplant; from finding a match, through every step of a patient’s transplant journey. And together we can reach the remarkable day when we can save the lives of everyone with blood cancer.

And now we want you to join our lifesaving team. We are looking for an ambitious and creative Learning & Development Business Partner, to lead on the design and implementation of our L&D function following a strategic review.

Title: Learning & Development Business Partner

Salary:          £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours:  35 hours per week (Would consider part time)

Location: Hampstead, North London

The Learning & Development Business Partner is a relatively new role at Anthony Nolan and presents a great opportunity for a creative individual to have an impact on how we develop our people. The role sits within the People team, but on a day to day basis is relatively autonomous and would therefore suit someone who is self-contained in their approach but seeks out opportunities to collaborate. 

The focus of the role is to lead and manage the L&D function, building individual and organisational capability and knowledge to meet current and future requirements, developing a learning culture and helping to ensure we have robust succession planning. We are particularly interested in individuals who understand and have direct experience of business partnering and are keen to do more strategic work and less direct delivery. This role will be key to building relationships across the charity and putting in place development programmes to engage and develop staff and deliver our ambitious new strategy.

You will also be responsible for developing the apprentice levy programme and making sure that we benefit from all available funding including working with organisations interested in corporate social responsibility partnerships through the levy.
