Job description

We’re looking for a Fundraising and Partnerships Manager who can grow existing corporate and trust partnerships, and create new ones.

Who we are

Apps for Good is a small independent charity teaching young people the skills they need to thrive. For 10 years teachers have used our free technology courses to unlock the potential of over 200,000 students.

Now we’re developing a new programme focused on the climate emergency. This is the most pressing issue we face globally, and young people are already leading the way in driving action. They have the creativity and energy to make a difference, so we want to arm them with the tools and skills they need to shape the future, whatever their background.

We’ll build on Apps for Good’s action-based approach to learning digital skills, our extensive network of schools across the UK, and our commitment to reaching the most disadvantaged young people.

The team

This is your chance to join a charity with a start-up mindset as we begin an exciting new phase in our story. We are a small, close-knit, highly ambitious and energetic team who all believe strongly in our mission and values. We’re currently working very effectively remotely and expect to continue to be a distributed team with regular days together in London.

The role

We’re looking for a Fundraising and Partnerships Manager who can grow existing corporate and trust partnerships, and create new ones.

Working with our Head of Fundraising and Partnerships you’ll nurture our fantastic network of current partners, including LEGO, Spotify, BNY Mellon, SAP and Deutsche Bank. You’ll focus on growth, creating new ways to engage and inspire, and pitching new products in meetings and written proposals.

And you’ll research, engage and secure new partnerships with companies and other funders who share our belief that with the right skills all young people can take action on the climate emergency.

Requirements

  • At least three years in one or more of the following areas; fundraising, partnership management, business development or account management.
  • Experience securing corporate partnerships, achieving income targets and developing prospect pipelines.
  • Experience managing relationships, delighting partners, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing projects independently and across a team, with strong attention to detail and process
  • The ability to communicate persuasively verbally and in writing, in-person and remote.
  • A positive, communicative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to developing the skills of young people so they can tackle the biggest problems we all face today.

Benefits

£27,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

This is a full-time, permanent role, working remotely with regular travel to meet clients and prospects, when safe to do so. Part-time will be considered for the right candidate. We’ll aim to meet in London as a team each week. We offer flexible working, health care insurance, 24 days holiday, plus you get your birthday off.
