Job description

Pitlochry Festival Theatre is more than a venue; they’re a community, a creative hub, and a home for transformative experiences. Since 1951, Pitlochry Festival Theatre has been the artistic heart and soul of Highland Perthshire. Attracting over 100,000 visitors every year, they are more than simply a place to come and see a show, they are Scotland’s leading producer of musical theatre, a champion of ensemble practice and the country’s only rurally-located, major arts organisation.

They now seek a Director of Development and Prospectus is leading the search. This role will fundraise but will do so much more: you will fuel the Pitlochry mission to create life changing experiences through the arts.

Director of Development
Pitlochry Festival Theatre

The Director of Development will architect and steer a complete fundraising strategy that amplifies the Theatres’ financial resilience and propels its strategic ambitions in line with the current Strategic Plan 2024-2029. The postholder will cultivate and deepen relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders including donors, sponsors and partners and will personally work with the Theatre’s most committed donors. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development will innovate within fundraising campaigns and use their skills in major donor fundraising to expand the Theatre’s financial base.

The best person for this position will be able to demonstrate a track record of securing significant funding within the UK arts sector and will enjoy realising ambitious fundraising strategies that have advanced an organisation’s mission. You will have a history of leading fundraising teams and of working as a collaborative, compelling leadership voice across an organisation.
