The National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT) has embarked on a new exciting 5-year Strategy – ‘Becoming Seamlessly Inclusive 2023-2028’. The NPHT is a young dynamic and diverse organisation, and a leader in accessible heritage with the ambition to reach a million people over the next five years supported by several major heritage funders including the Arts Council England as an NPO, National Lottery Heritage Fund, Rothschild Foundation, Museums Association Esmee Fairbairn, Wolfson Foundation, Art Fund and Garfield Weston.
Role of Head of Programmes
Overall
- To direct programmes delivery for the NPHT acting second in command to the CEO.
- To line manage the Learning Manager, Collections Engagement Officer, Team Diversity officer and Team Administrator.
- To manage evaluation with support from the Grants Fundraiser and external evaluation contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- To direct the management of NPHT Programmes of work.
- To build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
- To oversee the management of events, seeking opportunities for their development, community projects and utilisation/development of the Pop-up museum.
- To direct, through the team administrator and wider team the day-to-day administrative and training work of the NPHT, ensuring legal compliance in areas such as health and safety, and safeguarding, and an oversight on activities and the annual calendar.
- To direct, through the team administrator and team diversity officer the development of the volunteer and placement programmes of work in liaison with other team members utilising volunteers in their work.
- Ensure the day-to-day management of the Heritage Centre, delegating roles to the wider team and liaising with the Sports Stadium Management.
- To manage the evaluation systems and contract with support from the Grants Fundraiser.
- To input into and support other opportunities and longer term plans.
- To support other areas as they arise.
- To support the environmental programme of work
Meetings and reporting
- The Head of Programmes will be employed by the National Paralympic Heritage Trust and responsible to the Board of Trustees.
- The Head of Programmes will be line managed, report to and be supported by the CEO.
- The Head of Programmes will have monthly meetings with the CEO reporting on progress and raising any areas of concern.
- Either party may, by written notice to the other, require the holding of a special meeting to discuss any matter of urgency or exceptional importance relating to this agreement.
Period of Contract
Permanent.
Contract fee/Pay
- The proposed fee is £38,000 a year Full-time.
- In addition to the payment outlined above the Programs Director will be paid reasonable agreed expenses incurred subject to the supply of receipts/travel expense claim and a stakeholder pension.
Indemnity
Insurance is covered by the NPHT.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the theatre’s new Stories Start Here campaign, building on our successful major donor fundraising programme. As the key relationship manager for a portfolio of some of our closest and passionate supporters, the Major Gifts Manager makes a vital contribution to this growing income stream. By identifying, cultivating, soliciting and securing major gifts of £25,000 and more, and working collaboratively across the department with other fundraising teams, there is lots of scope to build on your existing fundraising experience to develop an engaged and generous portfolio of major donors.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience in a fundraising capacity, with a successful track record of meeting targets and personally soliciting and securing 5-figure+ philanthropic gifts.
- Evidence of relationship management to proactively develop a portfolio of prospects employing creative strategies to engage them.
- Demonstrable prospect research skills.
- Evidence of ability to write persuasively, and experience of creating compelling fundraising materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the necessary listening, facilitation, negotiation, and diplomatic skills to represent the NT, and to achieve immediate credibility and influence with high net worth individuals, and internal and external stakeholders.

Deptford X is a visual arts charity based in Deptford, South East London, we foster artistic talent and nurture community within the borough of Lewisham and beyond. We achieve this through a free festival in Deptford, working with hundreds of artists to locate art at the centre of everyday life for all of the area’s communities, and ongoing activity supporting artists and our local communities year-round. Founded in 1998, Deptford X is London’s longest-running visual arts festival.
This is a crucial and exciting time to join Deptford X; in 2023 the organisation turned 25 and also became an Arts Council England NPO. We are exploring moving to a biennial model and creating more space for deeper engagement and networked working. Job Responsibilities
The General Manager is integral to the management of Deptford X and the delivery and development of its ambitious programmes. The General Manager works closely with the Director and Board of Trustees as part of a small and supportive team to contribute actively and creatively to the development of the organisation, as well as overseeing daily and organisational operations. The General Manager supervises office management, communications, administration, financial management, staffing, programme delivery logistics, reporting and evaluation; and works collaboratively with the Director on strategic and financial development, including embedded environmental sustainability. In addition to the above, the General Manager will lead on developing and dynamically integrating Deptford X's access and care agenda.

Purpose of the Exhibitions Workshop Manager role is to:
You will play an important role in managing the Museum’s London workshop facility, working closely with the Museum Technician to construct, install, maintain and repair elements of gallery displays such as bespoke mounts, plinths and display stands for Museum objects in permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions.
Key responsibilities of our Exhibitions Workshop Manager include:
- Working closely with the Museum Technician and report to the Head of Exhibitions and Interpretation
- Cultivating partnerships with external stakeholders, contractors and consultants such as exhibition designers, graphic designers, model makers, exhibition construction contractors, quantity surveyors, planning supervisors and contract administrators
- Providing effective prioritisation and resourcing of the Workshop team
- Designing, manufacturing and installation of exhibitions plinths and displays
- Designing, manufacturing, finishing and installing of bespoke stands and mounts in metal, perspex and wood, to allow the safe display of our very varied collection
- Managing projects within a multi-disciplinary team on schedule and within budget
- Developing Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are shared appropriately and respected at all times
What we are looking for in our Exhibitions Workshop Manager:
- Appropriate trade related qualification in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience gained in a workshop environment
- Woodwork and joinery, metalwork, perspex, welding and brazing skills
- Communicates in a straightforward manner, demonstrating respect and acting with integrity and impartiality
- Recognises scope of own authority for decision making and empowers team members to make appropriate decisions
- Uses specialist professional//technical expertise and operating knowledge to its fullest extent, where appropriate

Tara Theatre is a company limited by guarantee, and a charity. It has two trading subsidiaries, Tara Productions and Tara Enterprises. We currently have an annual turnover of circa £1 million.
