This new role has been established to lead and implement the audience and business growth
strategy for ICA audiences alongside developing and delivering a sustainable, entrepreneurial
and revenue generating business growth model.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Philanthropy
- Lead, develop and implement a Business Growth strategic plan that brings a mix of
sustainable income derived from individual giving, trusts and foundations and corporate
sponsorships - Work with the Director to develop strategic revenue generation opportunities across the
business and key ICA stakeholders - Lead a Fundraising team to research prospective donors and supporters and build a
pipeline of donor acquisition, including bespoke donor packages - Collaborate with strategic partners on the development of compelling partnership
funding/income/business growth proposals - Maintain an overview of trends and developments in fundraising and business growth
across the artistic and cultural sector - Contribute to business growth and fundraising forecasts to the annual and longer-term
strategic business planning process. - Ensure effective CRM measures are in place and leading on timely and applicable
communications to key stakeholders including audiences, funders and members - Alongside the Director, personally steward relationships with major individual donors
and key decision makers in trusts and foundations - Lead on data collection processes and analytics in relation to audiences, participants and
donors.
Audiences & Communications
- Lead, develop and implement an Audiences and communications strategy alongside the
ICA’s internal and external colleagues and PR agencies - Lead marketing campaigns for ICA’s work and manage a range of activity that supports
ICA to meet its organisational objectives - Maintain and develop ICA’s brand in international, national and local markets, ensuring
ICA’s identity is maintained across all communications channels - Oversee the ICA platforms including its website, socials, media and the overall user
experience to ensure that they serve the organisational objectives - Develop and deliver a coherent marketing and communications strategy that promotes
ICA, and enables the institution to meet its income targets - Develop, implement and maintain ICA’s overall digital and social media strategy
- Stay appraised of new opportunities for promoting ICA
- Alongside the Director and in consultation with ICA’s external PR agency as needed, lead
on PR strategy and response plans - Provide support, direction and guidance for any crisis PR and comms strategies,
overseeing their subsequent implementation - Ensure due diligence to GDPR is met across ICA’s Marketing and Communications
activity - Oversee data collection processes and analytics in relation to audiences, participants
and donors - Control the marketing budget to ensure that resources are managed as effectively as
possible, and that all spend delivers against key departmental objectives.
Governance & Reporting
- Ensuring all fundraising and business growth activity is ethical and fully compliant with
relevant UK charity and financial management regulation - Leading the Fundraising team to complete all business growth/fundraising reporting as
required including Arts Council England NPO reporting - Reporting to the Director and Board of Trustees on the strategy and delivery of the ICA’s
business growth with the ability to flex and respond effectively when variances arise - Reporting to the Finance and Audit sub-committee
Team Management
- Play an active and highly collaborative role as a full member of both the Executive
Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team - Line Manage roles of Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, Audience
and Marketing Manager, Membership Manager, Editions Coordinator, Ticketing &
Membership manager, ensuring person specific objectives are set in line with the ICA’s
strategic mission & KPIs, as well as supporting staff’s ongoing development and
appraisal processes - Contribute to the wider organisation’s implementation of business initiatives and
transformation - Working alongside members of ELT and SLT, deliver a consistent, empathetic and
pragmatic leadership
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive and tangible experience in developing and delivering a communications
and audience development strategy within the arts and culture sector - A demonstrable experience in business growth and implementation especially in
relation to revenue opportunities, trusts and foundations, individual giving and
corporate sponsorship ideally within the arts and culture sector - Experience of personally managing relationships with high value individual,

About the role
You will enable the Fundraising and Partnerships team to achieve their income targets by leading the Prospect Research & Insight team to plan and deliver strong, long-term pipelines, to manage them effectively, and to maximise the value of data in our fundraising.
Implementing proactive prospect identification and management strategies that enable fundraising teams to succeed, you will lead a high-performing team who drive and influence how the department uses data, harness the potential of our CRM, and develop reporting to support good business decisions.

The Producing Department encompasses Producing, Event Management, Artist Liaison, Scheduling and Production Administration and is responsible for the scheduling, planning and delivery of all our activity. The team comes from a wide range of backgrounds, and works across art forms and event formats, delivering work in and around the Factory building, in the digital realm, across the city and internationally. As Executive Producer you will;
1. Work with the other Executive Producers to manage the producing and programme delivery function for Factory International, effectively and efficiently, over all programmes of work across the Festival and Factory International.
2. Act as an Executive Producer overseeing delivery of a range of new artistic commissions, presentations, and other events as appropriate for the Festival and Factory International, providing support to line Producers from R&D through to presentation of the projects in Manchester and internationally.
The key responsibilities for the Executive Producer role include;
Producing Function Management
• To manage the staffing needs of the Producing and Programme Department, leading on recruitment, induction and training and line management of Producers, Event Managers and support staff
• To work with relevant departments to coordinate the development of all relevant systems, ensuring the efficient functioning of the Producing and Programme team’s work and its integration into the wider work-flow of the organisation

Executive Producing Function
To act as Executive Producer having strategic oversight of multiple projects for planning and delivery purposes, which includes:
• To support the development of a diverse range of projects from early stages through to delivery, taking responsibility for early scoping of work and working with line producers and event managers to deliver projects on time, to budget, and to Factory International’s quality and creative standards
• To confidently develop and oversee significant budgets, working with other budget holders where required.

We are seeking an experienced strategic leader to oversee the finances and operation of Nottingham Playhouse.
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for the overall financial leadership of Nottingham Playhouse’s business functions. They will lead on operations, hospitality and facilities, ensuring the highest possible standards are met across the various teams. They will hold a key executive role working alongside the Chief Executive and Artistic Director, providing strategic business support and deputising as required.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience of working at a senior level within a customer facing, high volume transaction business and of successfully leading and managing teams.

As the Head of Partnerships, you will work closely with the Chief Executive, Festival Director, Director of Development and other SMT members to deliver a robust partnerships programme to support our strategic plan, and drive new business activity towards increasing our income. An exceptional opportunity has arisen to lead the British Museum's Corporate Partnerships team. With ambitious plans for the future and Dr Nicholas Cullinan starting as Director this summer, it is an exciting time to join the Museum and build on its strong track record of support from the corporate sector. We seek an exceptional and entrepreneurial fundraiser to drive this activity, lead a high-performing team, and contribute to the success of the wider Advancement Department.
As Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will be responsible for maximising sponsorship and philanthropic income from the corporate sector. You will work strategically - both individually and through your team - to secure major sponsorships and donations, optimise the Corporate Membership scheme, and attract in-kind support. You will meet agreed targets and operate effectively within a demanding environment involving multiple stakeholders. Working with Museum's senior leadership and with the business community, and representing the Museum at events and meetings, are key aspects of the role.
You will bring a sound understanding of corporate sponsorship and have extensive experience of fundraising for a major cultural institution, university, or charity, or of working in a comparable sales or target-driven relationship management context. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships, are vital for success in this role. In addition to being a skilled negotiator with good commercial awareness, the successful candidate will remain informed about sponsorship and brand partnership trends and use their creativity to develop the most attractive corporate partnership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing an agreed strategy for support from the corporate sector for key fundraising priorities, including the core work of the Museum, exhibitions, public programmes, and capital projects.
- Meeting agreed targets for corporate fundraising.
- Identifying and developing new sources of corporate support in collaboration with the Department's research function.
- Stewarding and cultivating corporate supporters.
- Ensuring that sponsorships are managed to the highest standards, benefits are delivered, and that the best possible reports are produced at the end of projects.
- Overseeing the continued development and growth of the Corporate Membership scheme.
- Evolving the corporate offer creatively and entrepreneurially to respond to market conditions and developments at the Museum.
- Motivate and manage the corporate fundraising team.
- Supporting the Director of Advancement and senior leadership with high level approaches.
- Ensure that to Museum's fundraising processes and procedures are followed.
- Work effectively and productively with colleagues across all teams and contribute to a healthy, supportive working culture.
- Attending both corporate and other Museum events (evenings & early mornings).
Person Specification:
Educated to degree level or above, the successful candidate will have extensive experience of corporate fundraising or in a comparable target-driven role. Excellent people management skills are a must with experience of leading teams, developing staff, and motivating colleagues to achieve ambitious goals. We are looking someone who is highly organised, self-motivated, has sound professional judgement and resilience. A strong communicator, you will be confident in diplomatically dealing with a variety of stakeholders both in writing and in person.
