We are working with a university who are looking for a Development Officer to join them on a part-time basis (3 days per week) with the aim of securing funding for a faculty conducting world-leading research. The role is a great opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising or from a sales or marketing background who is looking for a new challenge.
The role will focus on donors (predominantly HNWIs) with the propensity to give up to £10,000 however there will be the opportunity to grow these relationship (a Development Officer in another team is managing a donor relationship worth £100,000) and retain them. The postholder will be responsible for proactively building relationships with alumni and will look after legacy fundraising across their portfolio.
The Vice Chancellor of the University is extremely supportive of the development team and this role will work with both UK based and international donors. If you would like to work in a stable, high-performing team at a collaborative University this is a great opportunity.
The successful candidate will need:
- Experience of working in fundraising is ideal but if you work in marketing or sales currently please do get in touch
- Strong internal stakeholder management skills, you will work with the academic staff and will be able to influence others
- A proactive approach to researching new prospects and building relationships with them
- Excellent communication skills

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 (pro-rata)
