Job description

We need an outstanding Head of Individual Giving to join this international animal charity. Individual giving is the largest area of income for this organisation and covers direct marketing, legacy marketing and administration and finally community and corporate fundraising so this is a huge role for an experienced leader. This role will also be key in the implementation and further development of the organisation’s digital engagement strategy


This role will be responsible for:



  • Creating the five year strategy, annual action plans, forecasting and budgeting to support the Individual Giving strategy

  • Drive the strategic and operational development of all of the income streams in Individual Giving

  • To work pro-actively with the SLT to ensure integration across the entire organisation

  • Keep abreast of trends and developments in the UK fundraising marketplaces, especially around digital fundraising, and awareness of global fundraising trends as relevant to individual giving

  • Lead the Individual Giving Team, providing team leadership, mentoring and motivation for all staff


You will need:



  • Extensive experience at a senior level within fundraising with substantial experience of Individual Giving

  • Proven ability to provide strategic direction and team leadership across a number of specialist fundraising areas, including direct marketing, legacy fundraising and community fundraising

  • Substantial experience of setting, managing and analysing significant multi-discipline income and expenditure budgets

  • Ideally experience of setting a digital fundraising strategy
