Job description

We are delighted to be back working with one of our favourite charities to recruit for a Head of Volunteer Development. This is a really exciting role that will be responsible for unlocking the power of volunteer networks across the UK and maximising digital ways of engaging with their target audience.

This role will lead a team of six people, half of the team are based regionally and you will lead them to grow volunteer networks across the UK. The other part of the team focuses on digital acquisition of volunteers and then implementing the communication strategy with this network. The volunteer profile for this organisation tends to be individuals under 30 and they are particularly keen to engage with men and people from ethnic minority backgrounds.

You will have:

  • Significant experience of leading, inspiring and empowering a team to deliver excellent results

  • Ability to build rapport with a range of internal and external audiences, including supporters, patients and their families

  • Extensive relationship management skills, proven influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills, excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong experience of planning, developing and reporting on multi year budgets and non- financial KPIs.
