About the role
In this role, you will offer clinical supervision to the Macmillan Support Line teams including advisers, nurses, line managers, service knowledge specialists and other groups and individuals as needed. As part of their continuing professional development, you will enable colleagues to reflect on their practice in supporting people affected by cancer while maintaining their own wellbeing.
You will be part of a team of 3 part-time clinical supervisors and will be given opportunities to feedback on recurrent themes to the organisation. You will learn about organisational wellbeing and be a key part of a team capable of working in an emotionally challenging, fast paced, live contact centre environment.
You will be running regular small group supervision sessions (approximately 3 per day) for 1hr 15’ each, managing a caseload of approximately 25 groups monthly. You will also offer individual supervision where needed.
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- You must hold one of the following qualifications: Clinical Supervision Level 6 or above; accredited Counsellor or Psychotherapist (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, UK Council for Psychotherapy, Health Professionals Council)
- Your experience of delivering both 1-1 and group supervision virtually will be essential
- Experience of delivering supervision to colleagues who provide a live, frontline, fast paced health related service is desirable

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join the charity. This is a newly created position reporting to the Head of IT. The aim of this role is to encompass the charity’s Helpdesk (1st through 3rd line support) and IT Technician responsibilities to include new builds and repairs, network and server maintenance, telecoms improvements as well as project support. Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.
As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. Humanists International is embarking on a 2-year programme of work in order to realize some long-term improvements to the Freedom of Thought Report. We are looking for an enthusiastic research coordinator to join our team and participate in all stages of the publication process.
As a research coordinator you will support the Casework & Campaigns Manager to administer, plan and produce the Freedom of Thought Report, providing evidenced-based research to shape and influence human rights policy as it pertains to the non-religious.

Liaising with team members (e.g. Members, Associates, designers, and volunteers) ensuring deadlines are met;

Recruiting, training and coordinating a pool of volunteer researchers;

Developing and implementing training sessions for members, associates, and volunteers;

Liaising with Humanists International members to enable and support them to submit country entry updates;
-
Write and edit entries - ensure they are accurate and objective, and conform to house style;

Proofread and check content for accuracy;
-
Monitor project outcomes and perform continuous evaluation;

Identify and systematize best practices and lessons learned directly linked to project activities;

Contribute to the development and dissemination of digital content;

Treat with confidentiality any information about Humanists International Members, users, intellectual property, staff and research that could be deemed as personal, private or sensitive.
Essential skills
-
Research & analytical skills: Demonstrable experience with synthesizing and presenting complex information in a succinct way, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience researching and writing briefings and reports, preferably related to human rights;
-
Collaborative working skills: Experience with working in high performing, distributed, multicultural and international teams and working with colleagues and external partners to deliver high-impact programmes;

Strong writing and proofreading skills;

Well-organized, efficient and able to work independently

Excellent command of English.

Working proficiency in foreign languages;

Communications and Events Officer £25,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Full time role (37.5 hours) with an initial 6-month fixed term contract continuing subject to funding.
Remote working, with the option for hybrid working (up to two days in the office) in London, Manchester and Cardiff.

Main purpose of role
To enable the delivery of 1MM’s communications strategy, across the organisation, to extend our reach and build engagement within our community: ensuring we cost effectively produce and deploy powerful content and co-ordinated messages across all our communications channels, and to a broad range of audiences, alongside the promotion and administration of our events programme.
