As the only UK charity for people affected by all lung and respiratory diseases – from mild asthma through to lung cancer – the Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation Partnership is here for every one of them. We provide support, fund vital research, and campaign for better prevention, treatment and care.
An opportunity has arisen to join our research team. Reporting either to the Research Manager or the Head of Research and Innovation (Lung Disease), your role will enable the charity to select the best research to fund.
You will assist in running our grant award schemes for research and monitor the impact of the research the Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation Partnership funds. You will also make sure the views of patients and public are in embedded in our research processes.
Ideally you will have a degree in a scientific discipline (or equivalent experience), with good IT skills and be a competent and accurate administrator. A passion for and understanding of the research environment is also desirable.
You’ll get to develop your communication skills working with teams across the organisation to champion research, while delivering support to external stakeholders like our researchers. It’s also a great opportunity to develop skills in patient and public involvement in research.
