We need someone who is organised, reliable, creative, great with people, honest, can plan and deliver events and someone who has experience.
Your primary purpose is to develop campaigns, activities, events and opportunities for Backup to generate fundraising income and raise the profile of the service. Can you put to great use your creative energy to get involved in and lead some activity that brings in over £50k a year. (This does not include the first 6 months.) We want someone to join the team who engages stakeholders, maintains good relationships with people, we are not aggressive fundraisers, (and don't intend to be) we want long term supporters for the charity.
We have planned annual activities eg Gala ball, Golf Day and Ladies Lunch that you will support as well as activities you are expected to lead and generate yourself. You need to be great at networking, making contacts, seeking support, promoting events and the charity. We also need you to do some social media; posts and content of the activity that you are involved in.
You need to be a car driver and user as we never know what's going to be donated to assist your role from one day to the next and you will be required to set up the major events with colleagues. It is a varied role but an exciting and rewarding one. Everything you do will support tackling youth homeloessness.
