Job description

We need someone who is resilient, reliable, enthusiastic and persisitent. We are seeking a new Mental Health support worker to offer 1:1 and group work support to young people living in temporary accommodation, struggling with their mental health. The aim is to ensure the young people do not experience repeat homelessness and achieve some well being. You will deal with prevention, deescalation, coping startegies and crises and everything in between. We need you to assist the young people to navigate the statutory health services and external agencies that will help them long term.  

As part of the Chances team you will support a caseload of young people, work towards targets and empower young people to achieve their potential. 

Mental Health issues is the sinlge largets area of support throughout Backup so this is a well needed and rewarding role.
