Senior Service Charge AccountantLocation: London (initially remote working)Contract: PermanentSalary: Salary 48K+ depending on experience Badenoch + Clark Housing Team are proud to be partnering with a housing association based in London to appoint a Senior Services Charge Accountant to join their growing finance team. Our client is one of the leading providers in supplying communities with affordable housing across London.Responsibilities will include:*Support the provision of a comprehensive and cohesive financial advice and support service to the Housing, C&S and Leaseholder teams*Lead on the preparation of service charge plans and budgets.*Maintain the service data set in the Service Charges system and liaise with other teams within the business to ensure that service costs and charges are accurate, complete and value for money*Prepare management accounts information*Monitoring budgets and producing budget information and reports for business managers; supporting managers to identify variances and assist in the forecasting process.*Ensure all income and expenditure is recorded correctly in the accounts and in line with the approved budget to enable the production of accurate and timely accounts.*Ensure that all reconciliations are up to date.*Work with the business partner teams to ensure monthly accounts, forecasts and budgets are completed in line with timetable.*Prepare other performance management information, as required.The key criteria stipulated by the client to be successful are as follows:*A CCAB, CIMA or overseas equivalent qualified accountant. Exceptions will be given to suitably part qualified accountant with relevant experience.*Experienced in stakeholder management.*A strong commitment to customer service and overall service excellence.*Proven experience in running service charge systems within the rented housing sector*Demonstrable experience of service charge planning and budgeting.*An appreciation of how social housing / regeneration / care and support providers are funded.If you are interested in being considered for this opportunity and have relevant finance qualifications and service charge experience, please apply to the advert of immediate consideration.
