£25,000 - £30,000 per year
Contract, 18 Months, Full-time
Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Project and Engagement Coordinator to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will deliver a range of administration, coordination as well as marketing activities including outreach.

As the Projects and Engagement Coordinator you will have responsibility for project, task and information management including marketing and engagement duties, research and report writing and contributing to fundraising activities.

You will be contributing to the productivity of BANG by providing personalised and timely support to our Executive Leadership Team and may be required to support office operations sometimes.

BANG has developed strong links with local organisations including schools, housing associations, voluntary sector organisations, the Brent Family Centres, and the Beat London 103.6FM. These links are particularly important in the aim of making Brent a stronghold for BANG’s work to test, validate and showcase what has been, and can be, achieved through working with key partners.

Notably the organisation has entered and is developing strong partnerships with the Young Brent Foundation (which it was instrumental in establishing) and Brent Council.

With these partnerships and Youth Leadership at its core, BANG is in a strong position to use the connections it has developed in the area and with young people to make further progress. This will be manifested by exemplar projects and services in Brent and by leading further work in delivering a strong social remit across different sectors. This provides BANG with a robust base to expand activities into neighbouring boroughs and beyond where young people are facing similar personal and social challenges, as well as potential opportunities.

BANG’s ambition is to use its experience of engaging people on the ground to build an offer and a youth focused brand that will be recognised beyond our current reach. The approach, already proven in Brent, can be replicated to promote a new way of collective working on social issues. It is rooted in the belief that the problems faced by people and communities are shared across the world and social issues are not just isolated to one geographical boundary; they impact everyone and so if the right formula can be found to help address these issues, everyone will win.

BANG has also developed an increasingly strong partnership with Brent Council around strategic and operational working with the Children and Young People’s directorate to meet young people’s needs and interests across a range of areas. Partnership working includes the development and delivery of programmes for children and families, as well as community development initiatives such as the current development of Children’s Centres into the Family Wellbeing Centres.
