Barnardo's is commissioned by Oxford Health NHS Trust to work in partnership delivering CAMHS - Child and Adolescents Mental Health Service

This role is to work within our CAMHS Team whom you will support in a variety of ways. In addition to the Job Description we are looking for an experienced Administrator who has previous experience of managing, co-ordinating and supervising staff. Applicants must also have an excellent telephone manner as a key part of the role involves talking to parents, young people, professionals and possibly children. A good understanding of Safeguarding policies procedures is essential. Applicants will be required to input information electronically while actively listening to the caller and asking pertinent questions via a headset.

The SPA (single point of access) in the Sue Nicholls Centre, Aylesbury, will be open from 08:00 to 18:00 however the times may be increased to 20:00 in the future.

A breakdown of the role is as follows:

* To manage the team processing all referrals/service users wanting to access CAMHS throughout Bucks - essentially the "front door" to the service not only for service users but also professionals
* To supervise the CSWs, book rooms for clinicians, deal with incoming post such as referrals, take messages for the clinicians, organise and distribute SPA rotas
* To work closely with Oxford Health facilities at both Sue Nicholls Centre & Whiteleaf Centre reporting incidents/requests and ensuring that any requests made are completed appropriately.
* To ensure SPA room is kept in a clean, well-organised & tidy manner
* To be responsible for holding keys for the Sue Nicholls Centre, which involves closing all windows/fire doors/switching off electrical appliances/opening & locking of the centre and setting the alarm.
* To manage H&S & fire safety responsibilities, work with CSWs to ensure their health and safety requirements are met i.e. DSE assessments, providing ergonomic equipment etc.
* Manage the CSW's who take all of the referrals throughout Bucks & upload service user information in Carenotes. This includes confidential data and sensitive information.
* Be responsible for updating records in carenotes, taking information directly from the referrals/liaising with GPs/families/referrers to ensure information is kept up-to-date.
* Work closely with outside external agencies (i.e. Time to Talk, Child Bereavement) to signpost CYP & families to alternative services.
* Work closely with Oxford Health Operational Lead & Clinicians to ensure that we have the correct documentation to send out to service users. We work closely to ensure this is in line with Barnardo's policies and procedures including the views of the participation group within CAMHS.
* Assist in recruiting, inducting, training & supervising all CSW'
