Job description

We are employing a full time youth worker who can help develop their activities with young refugees and asylum seekers in particular those who are suffering from mental health problems under our Holistic Model of Support.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Refugee Youth Worker to join our small and friendly team. The post holder will be responsible to run and develop our existing or new projects while ensuring young refugees and asylum seekers, especially those suffering from mental health problems, have access to a wide range of services and activities.

You will have experience of youth work, working with young people and will have a positive attitude and have skills to build relationships  and engage them with different activities.

You may have experience or talents in a number of areas e.g. sports, arts, communication skills, music and have had some experience of sharing these skills with young people. You will have IT skills and knowledge of databases, an ability to work under pressure and an interest in issues affecting asylum seekers and refugees. You will need flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
