Salary: £33,000 - 38,000 depending on experience.

In the first instance, the role will be remote due to COVID-19. Circumstances allowing, there will be the opportunity to be based in an office.

We are seeking a Policy Fellow to become an important member of a vibrant and growing think tank team. The successful candidate will manage BASIC’s Emerging Technologies portfolio with some project delivery as well as contribute to the development of new projects, including idea development and fundraising. The candidate will have funded work from Day 1.
In terms of technical knowledge and skills, we expect:
A strong general knowledge of global security and conflict resolution, with a specialisation in the impact of technologies on security
Specific knowledge of nuclear weapons policy preferred
Demonstrable ability to design and carry out project management and research to a high standard

Organise international roundtables and other events with track 1 and 2 participants

Manage relationships with stakeholders and build BASIC’s network and reputation
