Pay £16.30 per hour 

Pension Pension scheme with 3% employer contribution  

Hours Various hours available, minimum commitment of 12 hours per week (2 days) 

Holiday entitlement Term time hours (holiday entitlement rolled up into hourly rate)  

Contract Permanent (subject to references, satisfactory DBS check, and probationary period) 


Beacon Counselling is a registered charity that exists to improve mental health and well-being for all. Beacon provides counselling to children and young people at various schools throughout Greater Manchester. Beacon also provide therapeutic support to children and young people outside school in specific CYP projects and partnerships. In addition to this Beacon also provide Staff Supervision to school employees.  As part of our continued development as a charity we are recruiting to add 1 counsellor to our growing CYP team providing counselling to pupils at a number of schools across Greater Manchester. 


Working closely the Children’s Service Manager, CSM assistant and counselling colleagues, you will play a vital role in Beacon’s commitment to delivering high quality mental health services. As well as being a skilled therapist, you will have a passion for improving the mental health of children and young people and able to act as an ambassador for Beacon within schools. You will be comfortable delivering presentations as part of school assemblies, providing formal support to some staff within schools and delivering group sessions to children, young people and adults.
