Job description

Beacon Counselling is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults.   

All successful candidates are required to have a current Enhanced DBS check with Beacon Counselling before any offer is confirmed 

 

Salary £25,000 pro rata  

Hours 20 hours per week 

Annual Leave 23 days plus 8 days bank holiday pro rata (rising to 28 days over 5 years) 

Contract 1-year with potential for permanent 

Responsible to Children’s Services Manager 

 

Main Objectives of the Role 

 

  1. Improve children and young people’s access to well-being support and activities 

  1. Increase young people’s levels of mental health and well-being  

  1. Contribute to Beacon’s partnership work within Stockport’s Early Help system 

This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of youth services in Stockport .  Working closely with the Children's Services Manager and partner organisations, you will deliver a core part of the Early Help & Well-being Service in Stockport for children, young people and their families.  

We are looking for an individual who has experience working with children and young people and a passion for improving their mental health, well-being and resilience. You will be comfortable communicating and presenting to a variety of audiences, and have experience facilitating group work with children and young people.  

We are looking for someone who is flexible and motivated to succeed through working autonomously and with others, has high standards of work, and is passionate about seeing the best outcomes for children, young people and their families.
