Helpline Team Leader
Work as part of Beat’s services team supervising the helpline team and providing coordination and administrative support of Beat’s echo peer support programme.
Half of the week will be spent supervising helpline shifts, the other half spent on Helpline Coordination and administration.
Beat’s helpline is available 365 days a year and the Helpline Team Leader shift pattern will be working half of the week 12-20:30 and the other half office hours to undertake Helpline administrative work.
The team receives training every month and regular internal, external supervision and coaching.
This is a brand new role created to provide support to Beat’s peer support programme, and supervise Helpline staff on shift. It is an exciting time to join the Support Services team within Beat, the demand of our services is higher than ever before and this year over 40,000 people are expected to get in touch through our multi-channel helpline service.
A typical week for the post holder will involve working closely supporting Beat’s advisors and volunteers, coordinating peer support contacts and working to develop Beat’s Helpline and associated Support Services. This role is fast paced and the post holder will be able to prioritise supervising a busy multi-channel helpline having responsibility for the quality of contacts as well as ensuring that advisors are supported, coached and safeguarded.
