Mental Health Befriending Coordinator (bilingual)
The London Borough of Ealing is one of the most diverse boroughs in London, and BEfriend have funding specifically to help reach people for whom English isn't their first language. We are specifically looking for someone who, in addition to English, can communicate in one of the following: Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, Arabic.
As a Befriending Coordinator, you will travel around the Borough of Ealing, meeting people experiencing social isolation who have been referred to us for support. You will spend time with them, assessing their suitability for befriending, signposting them to other relevant support, and supervising their match with one of our fantastic volunteers as we support them to become less isolated.
As a Befriending Coordinator, you will manage a case load of clients and volunteers and be part of a team who are dedicated to supporting those most vulnerable.
You will have relevant experience in social care or support work, specifically working with people with mental health problems.

Please note that whilst there is a requirement to live within or near to the Ealing Borough, after a successful probationary period there is flexibility for hybrid working with 1 day a week from home.
