About your organisation:


Bell House is an educational charity that offers support outside the mainstream school curriculum, lifelong learning, short courses, exhibitions, talks and musical events. The house is a centre for educational needs such as dyslexia support. 


We champion wider learning courses for all age groups, offering children and adults the opportunity to unleash their creativity or engage with subjects they have never tried before. There are free events and bursary places available on all our courses.


We are volunteer led, with a thriving community who share their skills, time, and expertise in ensuring the success of all that happens at Bell House. 


Purpose of role


Bell House is looking for a volunteer to help us market our events on social media platforms and form ongoing with external publications, especially local ones. The role will involve sharing our upcoming programmes with various magazines and papers as well as sourcing new publications to share our events with. We are looking for someone to scout Facebook groups or other online forums where our educational events may be of particular interest.  Discovering and building relationships with external publications that may want to write articles about what Bell House offers and its history. 


We appreciate this is quite an expansive task for volunteers so we encourage you to apply so we can discuss what tasks and time commitment would work best for you!




  • A collaborative and enthusiastic attitude

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

  • Must have sufficient internet speed at home and computer

  • A ZOOM account (free or paid membership)


Main activities/tasks:


  • Sourcing new relevant platforms to share our programme with whether it be social media (Facebook groups, forums, directories) or external publications

  • Provide external publications, forums, directories etc with relevant collateral for our events

  • Building our relationships with external publications for regular signposting, building awareness of Bell House Education and its values and regularly sharing upcoming events

  • Identifying projects that need more marketing support and researching and recommending ways to do this

  • Joining strategy meetings to share and discuss findings and leads

  • Working with the Events and Social teams to brief on upcoming events with relevant platforms on a regular basis
